Gratitude
I am naturally a negative person….
This statement might surprise some of you who know me.
The fact is that we are all born with a tendency towards the glass being half empty or the glass being half full according to the positivity experts.
The other fact is that creating a positive mindset and attitude can be incorporated into our day to day living and can enhance life satisfaction by 💯.
There are three things that I do consistently to foster positivity into my life:
I journal out my thoughts each day including my fears, doubts and negativity. Getting the negative thoughts out helps empty my brain to allow for a more positive frame of mind.
I practice gratitude - I find a few things that I’m grateful each day - (my ability to breathe, to taste my coffee, to hear music, to see the seasons).
I reflect on quotes that inspire me and I have them posted on colorful sticky notes in my office.
I’m curious, were you born with the glass half full? Half empty? What practice(s) help you fight through the negativity that life naturally brings at us?
