Asking for Help
Asking for help makes me feel ….
Incompetent
Out of control
Embarrassed
Afraid of being judged
Helpless
Vulnerable
That I don’t have my s*** together
But as I re-learned recently, asking for help actually allowed me to feel empowered, valued, supported, less stressed and more connected to others.
I would like to thank my cats for bringing a chipmunk 🐿️ into my house for a nice 50 hour unexpected play date. I’m not sure who was more exhausted at the end of the 50 hours as both the cats and I were on high alert the entire time. I do think chipmunk chasing was a bit more fun for the cats than it was for me. 😂😂
The gift of having chippy running rampant in my house, allowed me to get over my fear of asking for help and has forever bonded me with one of my neighbors and the maintenance man at my condominium complex.
So today I am reminding whoever needs to hear this… asking for help is a powerful solution and not a problem.
